Promising projects in the preschool education system are planned to be implemented at the expense of the state external debt

In accordance with the Government Decision (PP-4883 dated November 6, 2020), the Ministry of Preschool Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan is entrusted with the task of attracting funds from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) and the OPEC Fund for International Development (the OPEC Fund) for the implementation of promising investment projects in the field of preschool education in Uzbekistan.

These projects are planned to be implemented at the expense of external debt in the amount of 70 million US dollars, of which 30 million falls on the IDB, 20 million – KFAED and 20 million – the OPEC Fund.

At the expense of these borrowed funds, it is planned to increase the number of non-state public-private partnerships preschools throughout the republic. Thus, more than 250 non-state preschool educational organizations with a total capacity of more than 28,500 places will be built in our country.

Currently, the Ministry is working on attracting funds from the IDB, KFAED and the OPEC Fund. These works are coordinated and carried out jointly with the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
